Scottish and Newcastle is reported to have been made aware of 30 expressions of interest in the purchase of its Center Parcs and Pontins leisure businesses.
The bids have been received from both trade and financial bidders and a shortlist of second-round bidders is expected to be made early next month.
Charterhouse Development Capital, owner of the Tussauds Group, CVC Capital Partners, Barclays Private Equity and 3i have requested details of the businesses.
A Scottish and Newcastle spokeswoman said that it was too early to comment on any aspects of the sale process. However the two businesses are expected to net between £800m and £1bn.
