Leger Holidays issues first standalone rail brochure

Leger Holidays is catering to growing demand for train tours with the release of its first standalone rail holidays brochure.

Called Fully Escorted Rail Holidays Throughout Europe 2025-2026 Collection, it offers travel by rail from the UK, rail experiences and rail-themed holidays by coach or air.

Ashley Dellow, Leger Shearings Group’s head of retail sales, said: “Agents increasingly tell me their customers want to avoid airports and many of the tours in the brochure offer travel from London to Europe by rail – it’s a faster way to get the holiday underway but, like coach travel, it’s stress-free and gives the chance to relax and enjoy the scenery on the way.”

Five new rail holidays have made their debut in this brochure, including two 2026 long-haul tours to India and South Africa.

India – Taj Mahal, Tigers & Shimla features a trip on the Toy Train to Shimla, the former summer capital of British India.

The 16-day tour costs from £4,995 including international and internal flights, accommodation, most meals and excursions.

Cape Town, The Blue Train and The Big Five is a 12-day itinerary which includes two nights onboard the Blue Train, travelling from Cape Town to Pretoria, plus a stay at the Ivory Tree Game Lodge at Pilanesberg Game Reserve.

The tour is from £5,995 including flights, accommodation, most meals and full board on the Blue Train.

Also new in the collection are Paris, Versailles & Monet’s Garden for Solos, from £995 for four days, including travel by Eurostar; Swiss Christmas Markets & The Golden Pass Express, a five-day tour from £1,499 including flights; and Festive Paris & Versailles By Rail from £1,499 for five days, including travel by Eurostar.
