British Airways has been ranked fourth in a global table for the most punctual airlines last month.
The figures for on-time performances were collated by aviation analytics firm Cirium, which said: “Notably, for the first time in an extended period, a UK airline has made the top 10 most punctual carriers both globally and regionally within Europe.”
Last month, the UK flag-carrier saw 86.9% of its flights arrive on time – up from 78.1% in January 2025 and 70.1% in December 2024 – showing the airline’s operational improvements, said Cirium.
Aeromexico was top in the global table, with 92.9% of flights arriving on time, followed by Iberia (91.3%) – which is part of International Airlines Group, along with BA and others.
Qatar Airways was third (87.2%) while Lufthansa was fifth (86.7%). The rest of the top 10, in order, were Saudia, Avianca, Hainan Airlines, Latam Airlines and Emirates.
Meanwhile, Heathrow also made the top 10 for most on-time large airports, scoring eighth position. Cirium figures show 86.8% of flights departed on time in February.
Doha Hamad International Airport in Qatar topped the table (89%), followed by Mexico City Benito Juarez in second and Palma de Mallorca third.
