C&M Travel Recruitment has announced a management buyout which makes Barbara Kolosinska and Duncan Tingle the new owners of the business.
Managing director Barbara Kolosinska, who was a minority shareholder, and Tingle, sales director, have purchased the remaining share capital from former chairman Angus Chisholm, who founded the company in 1998.
They now own 100% of the travel recruitment agency.
Kolosinska and Tingle joined the business as recruitment consultants in 1999 and 2000 respectively and have both worked their way up in the company and spent the majority of their careers at C&M. Chisholm remains as a non-executive director.
Kolosinska said: “I’m extremely proud of what we have achieved at C&M. I have worked with Duncan for over 22 years and know what an incredible recruiter and sales director he is and I can’t wait for the journey ahead with our very talented and loyal team.
“Hard work, commitment and loyalty really do pay off and I hope this shows anyone out there that anything is possible in your careers if you want it enough.”
Tingle said he was “really excited” for the future, adding: “Having worked with Basia for all this time, her growth and development as a key industry figure makes me proud of what she has done for our business and reputation.
“We have an amazing working relationship and are both aware of each other’s strengths, which with the fantastic team we have in place, will dovetail perfectly to take C&M forward.”
Chisholm said the move marked “an exciting new phase for C&M”.
He said: “I am delighted and proud to see C&M Travel Recruitment transition to the capable hands of our experienced and talented management team. It’s rewarding to know the excellent business we have built over many years will continue to thrive under their leadership.”
He added: “I look forward to supporting the next chapter as a non-executive director I am confident we will continue to grow and excel.”
C&M has filled more than 20,000 roles across the industry since it formed 26 years ago.
