Henton calls for an upgraded site
AITO urgently needs to update its Web site or risk losing sales, executive director John Henton has warned. He said that by January 2001 he wanted AITO’s Web site to be providing much-improved links to members’ own sites for on-line bookings.
And he warned against members using rival on-line companies to generate more sales.
“It would be a mistake to sell through intermediaries, we should be exploiting the opportunities ourselves,” said Henton.
He also advocates AITOmembers working with firms such as British Airways to set up extranet links to make the flow of information between companies more efficient and cost-effective.
