Virgin Voyages reveals entertainment for new ship Brilliant Lady

Virgin Voyages has unveiled the line-up of shows and entertainment for the cruise line’s fourth ship, Brilliant Lady, which makes its debut in September in New York.

The programme has been shaped by feedback from travel agents and passengers and features more comedy, live music and “immersive storytelling”.

Brilliant Lady will debut seven original productions and a variety of new festival-like ‘happenings’.

Nirmal Saverimuttu, chief executive, said: “The new incredible additions to our entertainment is just the first reveal in a series of imaginative experiences we’re unveiling for our fourth and final ship.

“Our brand has come so far since our launch in 2021, and we’re grateful to our travel advisor community for being such an important part of our journey.

“Thanks to their valuable feedback, we’re constantly challenging ourselves to raise the bar by offering more entertainment and never-before-seen experiences.”

Two Red Room shows will be Red Hot – a musical revue tracing Virgin’s 50-year legacy through five decades of hits from Virgin Records – and Out of Time, a time-travelling comedy.

There are five shows in The Manor: Up With a Twist, inspired by the roaring 20s, and Murder in the Manor, an immersive theatre performance with passengers assisting the “hapless investigators”. Duets is a showcase of duets across generations and genres, featuring Motown, classic rock and contemporary ballads; Electric is an electric dance party; and Disco Reimagined.

On sailings to Alaska, when nights are too cool for an outdoor poolside event, there will be a Scarlet Night Red Room Glow Up.

Finally, Duel Reality is an acrobatic show that has a modern take on Romeo and Juliet.

The ship will initially sail in the US and Caribbean, offering itineraries ranging from five to 16 nights.
