Poland specialist Polorbis has added showpiece castle and palace accommodation and a range of holiday activities, in a new Connoisseurs’ Choice brochure section for 2000.
Managing director Boguslaw Stepniak said:”More people are booking hotels and travelling independently. We’re seeing less group-package business.
“The castles and palaces we have introduced have a fascinating background and have been renovated to the original specifications. They are aimed at people who know their history and architecture.”
The 20 properties featured include the former palaces of Rzucewo and Kadyny in the north, Rydzyna in the west, and Sieniawa which is near Cracow. Polorbis tailor-makes to demand and prices are given on request.
Angling in Poland’s Mazurian Lake District has been added for 2000 and joins horse riding, cycling and mountain hiking. Spas also appear for the first time.
Stepniak said: “We’re targeting two market sectors this year – mid-income clients and the budget market. We plan to tap the student market by giving presentations at universities.”
Polorbis is aiming for 50,000 clients in 2000. “I am sure Cracow and Zakopane will be most popular but we will also be pushing Gdansk and the north. That region has so much to offer,” he said.
