FSS appoints new marketing director in managerial revamp

TOUR operator system supplier FSS has appointed a new sales and marketing director, Chris Smith, as a part of a management shake-up.


Smith, who formerly worked for management consultancy the Druid Group, has taken over control of sales from David Hayes and responsibility for marketing from Ian Champness.


Hayes has retained the role of commercial director, while Champness has been given the newly created job of e-commerce director.


The restructuring exercise will include an expansion of the six-strong sales team but it has not been decided how many extra staff will be taken on.


The changes follow the expansion of the management team with the appointment of non-executive director Michael East as chairman. Former chairman Ed Spiers was made group chief executive. (Travel Weekly March 6)
