Valencia to hold first series of roadshows
The Spanish region of Valencia is planning to host its first series of roadshows for agents this autumn.Yolanda Pickett, relationship manager for European tour operators and travel agencies for the Valencia Region Government Tourist Board, said she was looking to schedule the events at the end of September.
“Valencia is not very well known as a region. The tourist board wants to make it a bit more high profile,” added Pickett.
One roadshow will be held in London and Pickett is considering Manchester, Glasgow and Birmingham as other potential venues.
The tourist board wants to use the roadshows in order to publicise the forthcoming theme park Terra Mitica, which is due to open in Benidorm this July. The events will also be used to raise the profile of the new City of Arts and Sciences development at Valencia.
