Go is offering lead-in fares of £30 return to Edinburgh to celebrate its second birthday. Fares of £50 are also available to Bilbao, Copenhagen, Ibiza, Madrid, Milan, Rome and Venice. Tickets should be booked at go-fly.com by Wednesday for travel up to July 14.
n GBairways prepares for tenerife service
GB Airways, the British Airways franchise carrier, will launch a thrice-weekly Gatwick-Tenerife service on October 31. Flights are on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays with a two-class Airbus A320. The lead-in fare is £199 return.
n grand adventures to purchase lawson
Industry retailer Lawson International, the official operator for the ABTA convention, is set to be acquired by its US counterpart Grand Adventures Tour and Travel for an undisclosed sum. Founder and chief executive officer Nick Lawson, along with 40 staff at Heathrow, will remain with the company when the deal is completed.
n fred olsen plansex-cuba cruise tours
Fred Olsen Cruise Lines plans to operate its first series of cruises out of Cuba in early 2002. The ship, Black Prince, which will be based in Havana, is scheduled to operate two western Caribbean and two eastern Caribbean itineraries. Prices, which will include all drinks and water sports, start at £1,795 per person for a15-night flycruise.
