Not Bill’s First Choice of partner

Next time you’re on holiday, beware ofanyone who wants to take your picture.

Pensioner Bill Easterbrook was snapped on the former P&OCruises’ liner Canberra a few years ago and then got the shock of his life when he opened up First Choice’s Leisurely Days brochure to find himself in it.

His wife also got a shock – the picture showed him hitting the dance floor with another woman.

Bill had an awful lot of explaining to do until he realised he’d fallen foul of some computer wizardry – a picture of another woman had been superimposed to look as though they were dancing (see right).

Furious Bill wrote a letter of complaint to First Choice, which gave the usual humble apologies.

“My wife is fairly broadminded which is just as well because it left her questioning my fidelity – it’s not something you need at my age,” said Bill.

However, he rather spoiled his chivalrous comments by adding: “I wouldn’t have minded as much if they had put me with a nice young lady or if they had offered me a payment.”
