Harmony back in service after revamp

CRYSTAL Cruises’ six-star ship Harmony is back in service after a multi-million-pound renovation programme.

Many of the public areas of the 940-passenger ship have been refurbished including the Crystal dining room – which now has a marble, stone and granite entrance – and the retail shopping area.

The four penthouse suites have also been redecorated and now feature new 35in colour televisions, digital video disc and CD players.

In addition, the communication system has been overhauled, enabling Harmony guests to log on to the Internet.

Crystal president Joseph Watters said: “Our objective is to exceed the expectations of even the most sophisticated of travellers.”

The Harmony programme for 2001 includes cruises to Alaska, the Panama Canal and Bermuda. Itineraries range from 12 to 19 nights. The latter starts in Acapulco and visits Costa Rica, St Thomas and St Juan in the Caribbean and Hamilton in Bermuda, finishing in New York.
