Mapping out the publicity
BELFAST City Council is allegedly making it easier for people to find their way around the city centre but has sent out a strange picture to promote this feat (see right).Several new information signs have been installed at focal points around the city and mature councillor Margaret Walsh, chairman of the Belfast City Council Tourism and Promotion of Belfast sub-committee, demonstrates the easy way to find out where to go.
Meanwhile, tourism student Rachel Irvine struggles with the conventional style of map.
So, you wouldn’t want to look at the map when you can use the new signs, would you? Well, yes actually. I don’t know about you but I would much rather be helping Rachel with her map…
