DOMESTIC operator British Holidays is embarking on a marathon tour of the country as it bids to increase its brand awareness among agents and the public.
The holiday park specialist is heading to every corner of the UK between now and March and has events planned in shopping and exhibition centes around the country. Visits direct to individual retailers are also part of the tour.
Head of media and trade sales Geoff Barnes said that a team of British Holidays’ representatives will be briefing agents on early bid offers, sales support, agency commission and also discounts.
“Travel agents are critical to the growth and development of British Holidays as a well known consumer brand,” he said.
“These roadshows reflect our commitment to increased support for industry partners.”
The operator is currently in Glasgow and will head to the Metro shopping centre in Gateshead this Friday and Saturday before travelling south to Hull and South Yorkshire next week.
In a further pledge, Barnes said that British Holidays is continuing to pay agents £10if calls are not answeredwithin 60 seconds and saidit would not publish a direct telephone number on its brochures.
