Sponsors’ dinner makes debut
THE ELITIST ABTA Presidential dinner is being replaced by a sponsors dinner at this year’s ABTAConvention.The ABTA Thank You Dinner takes place on Thursday, October 26 and will be for sponsors, hosts and speakers and not high-profile delegates.
Convention organiser Keith Betton, said: “It caused a lot of upset that nine out of ten people felt they were not important enough to come.
“It also blocked off an evening which prevented hosts from hosting their own dinners and left others feeling they were a bit out on a limb.”
The event will also no longer be black tie, leaving the whole conference with a business attire/smart casual dress code.
