NCL admits violation of environmental law
NORWEGIAN Cruise Line has admitted to US authorities violations of environmental law on several of its ships.In a company statement, NCL claims that it discovered the violations through an internal review, carried out by the cruiseline’s new management, following its purchase by Star Cruises in February.
The company blamed its past management for the violations, saying: “It appears from the review that this pattern commenced well before the change of control.”
NCL said it had immediately moved to prevent further infractions of the law, and was already co-operating with an investigation being carried out by the authorities.
