n easyjet contests CAAEasyJet has shrugged off a preliminary judgement from the Civil Aviation Authority that Luton Airport should remain free from regulated charges. It claims Luton is using its position as the only southeast airport with capacity to inflate landing fees. It is demanding the airport be regulated like Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Manchester. The CAA said Luton does not have a dominant position as it only handles 5% of the southeast’s air traffic and should be free to set its own charges. EasyJet is to write to the CAA stressing it cannot move from Luton and is being subjected to unfair fees. The CAA makes a final decision next month while the department of the environment, transport and the regions will make a final ruling in August.n roberts leaves post
Cosmos IT director Jeff Roberts has left his post after 15 months in what the company described as a mutually agreed parting of the ways. Managing director Nigel Wright said Roberts had come from a large corporate entity – Woolworth – and did not fit into a small, low-margin environment. Roberts stressed that his departure was amicable. Cosmos is seeking a replacement.

Seychelles Tourist Office regional manager Rose Fayon is resigning on June 30. A replacement is currently being sought to fill her post in charge of the destination’s UK, Nordic and Netherlands markets.
