PATA set to debut agent site for UK
THE Pacific Asia Travel Association is planning to launch its first UK Web site within the next couple of months. As well as including details about PATA, the site will include a database of UK Chapter members and, if required, links to their own Web sites.
PATA executive director David Arscott said the site would make it easier for consumers planning a trip to the Asia Pacific region to find details about the area, the hotels and the airlines. It will also direct them to their nearest travel agency member.
Members will be charged £150 for a full page on the PATA Web site, which can be updated on a monthly basis.
PATA executive director David Arscott said the site should appeal to the association’s 250 travel agency members, many of whom do not yet have an Internet presence.
He said PATA was looking for 100-150 agents to take a page on the site, which should go live later this summer.
