De Bailleul, who leaves for the role this week, is being replaced by former Air France UK and Ireland cargo manager Anne Veyssie.
n carnival cites fuel costs for flat profits
Carnival Corporation has blamed flat net profits in the second quarter on high fuel costs and pressure on cruise prices. Net income was $204m for the quarter ending May 31, compared with $203.3m last year. Revenue was $875.1m, up from $796.1m last year.
n sabre signs 10-year deal with bahamasair
Sabre has secured a £10m IT services and consulting contract with Bahamasair. The carrier plans to use Sabre’s systems for handling reservations, inventory, maintenance and customer loyalty. The deal is set to run for 10 years.
n national car rental wins BA contract
National Car Rental has won a contract with British Airways to be the preferred supplier of all car rentals for the airline’s UK staff. From June 12, a corporate rate is available to 2,500 airline staff when they travel for business.
