Learning curve: P&ONSF is holding two educationals in the autumn as part of its training strategy

P&ONSFoffers free crossingin agents’ training competition

P&O North Sea Ferries is offering a free crossing from Hull to Rotterdam or Zeebrugge as the top prize to agents who win a fax-back training quiz designed to encourage them to learn about its routes and on-board services.

The fax-back quiz has just been mailed to 3,000 agents in a quarterly newsletter.

They simply have to answer the questions and fax the form back.

Account manager David Townend said the ferry operator received 300 replies within one week of sending out the quiz. “We are very pleased with the response,” he added.

As part of its agents’ training, the ferry operator is holding two educationals in the autumn with Travelscene, which operates the P&ONSF short-breaks programme.

Townend said the plan is for one educational to visit Bruges and the other to stay in a Gran Dorado holiday park but he emphasised that nothing has been confirmed.

The ferry operator has already held three educationals with Travelscene this year, plus one with Wallace Arnold.
