Virgin and BAto open new lounges
VIRGINAtlantic and British Airways are expected to open new lounges for premium passengers at Los Angeles International Airport.Both carriers are in talks with airport management to improve facilities, according to the president of the airport board John Agoglia.
He added that United Airlines and American Airlines, which serve Heathrow from Los Angeles, are both due to complete $200m upgrades to their dedicated terminals. Agoglia was in London last week to meet the two UK carriers to promote a $150m upgrade to the airport’s infrastructure.
Signage in terminals used by UK travellers is being improved, along with enhanced public transport and taxi facilities.
Business centres are also opening to provide facilities for the 32% of passengers who pass through the airport for work.
