Affordable USA goes tailor made

A NEW UK specialist operator claims to have launched the first US tailor-made brochure that has been designed specifically for independent agents.


One of its key selling points is that retailers can offer clients a custom-made holiday that significantly undercuts an equivalent brochure package price.


Maidstone-based Affordable USA has already targeted more than 2,000 ABTA agents with its debut programme, Gateways to America, which features the key destinations of New York, Las Vegas, Florida, California and Hawaii.


It offers hotel and villa accommodation, city sightseeing, excursions and transfers, and gives agents direct links with consolidators for flight and car-hire rates.


Sales and marketing director Andrew Cook said: “We launched our company in January, initially servicing our sister company Affordable Travel.


“We want the independent agent to put packages together themselves, give the client more flexibility and also increase their own profitability.”


Affordable USA offers 12% basic commission on sales plus other incentives such as hotel concessions.
