n Whitbread Hotel Company has appointed Steven Lambert as Information Technology director with responsibility for both Mariott Hotels and Travel Inn. He joins from outside the industry.n Geraldine Vallis has joined Moat House Hotels as Internet and leisure marketing co-ordinator. She will be based at the group’s headquarters in Romford.She joins from outside the industry.
n Pride of Britain Hotels has named Peter Hancock as its new chief executive succeeding Michael Yeo who steps down in November after 12 years in the job. Richard Ball
will also succeed George Goring as company chairman.
n British Airways UK and Ireland has promoted Gaynor Friel to sales manager for the North and Midlands. She was formerly training delivery manager, responsible for customer service training for all cabin crew and ground staff worldwide.
n Shaun Simons is to join cheapflights.com as international development manager for its sales team. He has previously worked for First Options and the Civil Aviation Authority.
n Holiday Hypermarkets welcomes specialist sales expert Helen Deegan, who has been appointed product development manager. She previously worked with Festival Cruises.
