Airtours predicts good sales from Advantage agents
ADVANTAGE agents will sell Airtours with greater confidence following the launch of its overbranded 2001 summer sun brochure, the consortium’s sales and marketing director Colin O’Neill has predicted.The 2001 brochure, which forms part of a new commercial deal with the operator following the collapse of the franchise, contains a dedicated Advantage number to handle out-of-hours calls and directs customers to their local Advantage shop. O’Neill said the removal of direct booking numbers was also crucial.
“It was an important achievement for us,” he said. “Members can now be more confident customers will make bookings with them rather than the operator direct.”
