ON THE MOVE:
n Avis Europe has appointed Dieter Woitscheck to the new position of chief operating director. Woitscheck, currently managing director of Avis’ German operation, will take responsibility for the company’s five major European markets.n Margaret Simpson has been appointed managing director by Highlife Breaks. Simpson’s last job was product manager at Superbreak.
n Embassy Leisure Breaks has recruited two regional account managers. Sarah Elliott, who was previously a regional sales manager at Travelworld, will cover the south. Siobhan Baines, formerly branch manager at Going Places in Horsforth, will oversee the north.
n Disneyland Paris has promoted Michael Linnane to the job of national account manager for UK leisure group, ticket media and Ireland. Sonja Okpu has been given the newly created role of ticket media sales executive. Claire Burgess has joined the company from Air France to become leisure groups co-ordinator and Vikki Thompson has been recruited to become sales co-ordinator for travel agents.
n Wendy Kavanagh has been promoted to become sales and marketing manager for Carnival Cruise Lines, Holland America Line and Windstar Cruises.
