ABTAsets deadline for agents to meet Internet site standard
ABTA has given members three months to meet the standards of a new e-commerce hallmark it has signed up to.By November 1, all ABTA members’ Web sites must have been regulated by TrustUK, which is Government approved.
TrustUK has been set up to monitor codes of conduct to ensure Web sites provide adequate protection for on-line shoppers.
ABTA head of legal services Riccardo Nardi said: “The new code means that statutory requirements you find in an agent’s shop will also be on the site.”
