Dreamticket.com set to launch after delays
ON-LINE travel agency dreamticket.com is preparing to launch this week, blaming delays since spring on technical problems.Chief executive Lawrence Hunt said testing the site had taken longer than expected but the on-line travel agency’s launch is now imminent.
The site will run for a couple of months before dreamticket.com and its partners launch a big promotional push.
“We have very strong partnerships with companies like Virgin and Barclaycard which would not accept anything else and are driven by customer service.”
He dismissed the idea that dreamticket.com may have missed the 2001 early bookers.
Hunt said the process of putting the data on-line had been time consuming because the company had to combine technology from the 21st century with old-fashioned systems that date back to the 1970s.
