BA puts World Traveller Plus tickets on sale
BRITISHAirways has started selling tickets for its new World Traveller Plus class from today.Seats can be booked on services between London Heathrow and New York JFK that depart from October 29 onwards.
Passengers booking the new class of ticket will be placed in a dedicated cabin with up to 40 seats.
The seats will have a 38in pitch and adjustable headrests and footrests.
Other World Traveller Plus benefits include telephones, seatback screens and a double hand-baggage allowance. The seats also have power points for items such as laptops. Prices on the London-New York route start from £750.
Meanwhile, BA plans to add extra capacity on routes from London Gatwick to Barbados and Nassau in order to meet increased demand.
The airline will introduce a fourth weekly flight to Nassau on a Boeing 767.
The new non-stop service is scheduled to depart on Sundays in order to appeal to the honeymoon market.
BA is also replacing the Boeing 777 that currently operates daily flights to Barbados with a Boeing 747-400, which will add an extra 685 seats per week each way.
The changes will begin on October 29. Prices to Nassau start from £538 and fares to Barbados start from £300.
