harley davidson factoryn The shop floor and museum tour is free and takes one hour 30 minutes, running four times a day, from Monday to Friday. Tour times are 9.30am, 10.30am, 12.30pm and 1.30pm. Museum-only tours operate on Saturdays at 10am, 11am, 1pm and 2pm, and take 30 minutes.
n The complex is a one-hour drive from Philadelphia and is located at 1425 Eden Road, just north of Route 30 and about one mile east of Interstate 30.
n Harley-Davidson has scheduled three open-house weekends that include plant tours, demonstrations, activities for all ages, rides, parades and live music, as well as bike raffles. n A $30 million Harley-Davidson Experience Centre is being built at the company’s Milwaukee headquarters. It will open in summer 2002 and include a museum, interactive exhibits and presentations about Harley-Davidson history and lifestyle.
n Travel 4 offers Harley-Davidson US rentals from £34 to £67 per day based on a minimum three days, according to season. Machines are 1340cc models and include the Electra Glide, Road King, Heritage Springer and Fat Boy. Additional insurance is available. Getaway Vacations also offers rentals from £44 a day.
