Adventure travel specialist The Imaginative Traveller has introduced 25 new tours to Asia in its 2000 brochure, including four in Vietnam.
Marketing director Rene Brennecke said the new trips to Vietnam were aimed at the serious adventure traveller who wanted the security of a tour leader.
A two-week ‘Southern Escape Exploratory Adventure’ takes in the Mekong Delta system, the Camau Nature Reserve and the island of Phu Quoc in the Gulf of Thailand. It costs £585 per person including basic accommodation with breakfast plus one night with a local family and internal travel by public transport. Flights from the UK are extra. In total there are 85 tours featured in the Asia brochure, including new ones in Indonesia, Laos, China, India, Malaysia, Thailand, Tibet and the Philippines.
Brennecke said the company is aiming for a 40% increase in bookings from its significantly larger 2000 brochure, which has a total of 100 pages compared to just 68 in 1999.
