Fair Deal campaign seeks more support from agents
THE Fair Deal for Travel Agents’ campaign is being led by agents who are in total disagreement with what British Airwaysis trying to do to the UKtravel industry.BA would like agents to believe it is doing us a great favour in the name of progression. What it does not want agents to believe is that what it is actually doing is laughing all the way to the bank. It is trying to turn us into cheap bucket shops, thankful for the opportunity of earning a whole £6 while it takes our commission via its direct-booking channels.
And while agents are gullible enough to believe it, BA will happily roll out Nolan Burris to teach us how to overcharge. If you feel this is an insult to your profession, then join the campaign now.
We must not allow BA to bully us. The campaign has been funded by the few until now. To continue we need more support. We are asking agents to make a donation towards the running costs.
