All-Canada boosts 2000 offers with series of new flydrive tours

ALL-CANADA Travel and Holidays has put together an ambitious Trans-Canada Adventure flydrive from from Toronto to Vancouver.

It is one of several new flydrive tours in the operator’s 2000 brochure, including a five-night Cape Breton Express itinerary and six-night High Tides and Red Rocks package, both in eastern Canada.

The 15-night east-to-west holiday also takes in Niagara Falls, Quebec City, Ottawa, Calgary, Banff and Jasper National Parks, Kamloops and then into Vancouver for a two-night stay before flying to the UK. The itinerary includes a flight between Toronto and Calgary.

Twin-occupancy prices range from £874 per person based on standard accommodation in hotels, motels, lodges and ranches during September 22-October 29. Also included is 16 days car rental.

Programme director Rosemary Powell said: “The two new maritime flydrive tours allow clients to experience eastern Canada.

“The Cape Breton Express tour takes you through Nova Scotia with five nights accommodation in middle-class or deluxe hotels or inns from £399 double occupancy.

“The second, High Tides and Red Rocks, offers six nights from £359 and visits the Bay of Fundy, which will be of particular interest to wildlife enthusiasts.

It is here that you can go whale-watching and during the summer months see thousands of migrating birds feeding on the tidal edge,” said Powell. Both flydrives are exclusive of flights. Other more unusual itineraries include two-week Country Inns of the Maritimes and Inns of Ontario and Quebec, while a 19-day western flydrive route called Jeep Cabin Tracks includes a four-wheel-drive vehicle and 18 nights’ accommodation in cabins and hotels. The latter costs from £732 based on four sharing, or from £1,042 twin per person.
