United airlines corporate incentive scheme
Carrier launches Perks Plus
UNITED Airlines has launched an incentive programme to encourage more corporate customers to fly with the carrier. The scheme, called Perks Plus, will offer small to medium-sized companies seat upgrades, free tickets and holiday discounts, which they can collect as soon as they have spent £10,000.
The loyalty scheme will run alongside United Airlines’ frequent-flyer programme Mileage Plus, so travellers can continue to earn personal rewards.
The scheme follows the launch earlier this month of Delta’s on-line loyalty system, Business Extra, which was also aimed at small and medium-sized companies, offering flights, hotel and car-hire rewards.
A spokesman for the airline said:”Perks Plus has been a huge success in the US for several years, where it is offered to clients via the Web. United Airlines is very pleased with it and we are hoping to offer it on-line in the UK in the future.”
United Airlines is mailing information about Perks Plus to clients and is expecting 500 companies to show an initial interest.
Companies wanting to participate in the scheme must enter their company code when booking with United Airlines in order to see their reward totals.
