Flight update
Sabena adds extra services
SABENA has increased the frequency of services between its Edinburgh to Brussels and Belfast to Brussels routes. The airline increased its Edinburgh to Brussels service yesterday from three to four daily flights, with the additional departure leaving Edinburgh at 1:40pm, arriving in Brussels at 4:25pm.
From October 29, Sabena will launch extra services on the Belfast to Brussels route to further benefit the Northern Ireland business community. The once-daily service will be increased to thrice daily.
Scottish passengers will also benefit from Sabena’s recent anti-trust immunity which was granted by the US government last month. Sabena and its partner airline Swissair began codesharing flights with American Airlines last year but the anti-trust immunity will mean both airlines can now arrange fares, joint sales and marketing agreements.
Passengers travelling from either Edinburgh or Glasgow to Brussels will be able to fly with American Airlines to USgateways, including Chicago, Boston and New York and from there to additional destinations throughout the US.
