This week, one of our readers nominates Hertz to take a break from its operations at Nice airport. She recalls being made to wait for two hours in a queue outside the Hertz office in 28C sunshine with no cover, next to the main road. “It was hard to keep an eye on our young children and make sure theydidn’t run into the road, while at the same time keeping our place in the queue and watching the suitcases,” she said. This was despite the reader’s car being pre-booked. “There were no apologies,” she continued. “It really was an appalling start to everybody’s holiday. A really pathetic service.” We’d welcome a response from the boys in yellow and, if we get one, we’ll print it on this page.
