Being prone to complain, Ifeel compelled to compliment. Yesterday, my husband and Iwent on an Airtours day trip to Rome.
It has the operation down to a fine art. The flights were excellent, in-flight service exceptional and the guided tour second to none – down to having us in St Peter’s Square for the midday Papal blessing and although a non-Catholic, Ifound this very moving.
But I’ve two ‘buts’ – one minor, the other annoying. The Airtours rep was very friendly but insisted on calling Rome the Internal City – oops.
The annoying thing is that clients who booked direct with Airtours were not only offered a 10% discount but, unlike us, did not have to pay a ticket on departure charge!
Other than these two minor quibbles, I would unreservedly commend Airtours for a well organised great day out.
