Unijet adds flydrives to flight guide
UNIJET is adding European flydrive holidays to its year-round flight guide in a bid to boost their appeal.Customer feedback has revealed that many people do not buy flydrive holidays as they believe it is cheaper to hire a car at their destination.
Unijet offers flydrive holidays through its car broker Suncars, and hopes the new guide will boost sales.
Unijet aviation director Claire Trevis said: “This is the second time we have offered agents a year-round guide for our flights, but it’s the first time we’ve added flydrives. Agents will still earn commission, and on scheduled flights agents can use the guide to make up their own flydrive packages.”
Unijet sells 80% of its flights through Air 2000 with the remainder through Britannia, Virgin Sun and JMC.
The guide offers lead-in prices for this summer, winter 2000/01, and summer 2001 from 16 UK airports. Unijet destinations include flights to the Costa del Sol, Gran Canaria, Madeira, Florida, Canada, Mexico and Cuba.
Based on two adults sharing, prices start at £189 for a Manchester to Faro flydrive – £44 more than a flight-only price of £185.
