Universities unite in hope of improving Palestinian hotels

TWO universities are collaborating in a review of the Palestinian hotel industry in the hope of improving the quality and service of the destination’s hotels.

Staff and students at Sheffield Hallam University and Bethlehem University are working together to create a questionnaire to distribute to hotel operators in order to identify what services and facilities are available and to find out what issues the individual hotel owners are facing.

Sheffield Hallam University academic Stephen Ball, who is leading the project at Hallam, said:”This project will enable hotel operators to know more about their own industry, which is very lacking at the moment.”

The relationship between the two institutions has been developed through the British Council Higher Education Programme.
