* tourist boards join forces in campaign
Edinburgh and Lothian Tourist Boards have joined up with Orkney Tourist Board to encourage visitors to discover the rural areas of Scotland. Visitors can book flights, hotels and find out about the Orkneys at the Edinburgh and Scotland Information Centre. Loganair is offering a same day or next day late-availability deal through the centre.
* cresta continues ireland discounts
Cresta Holidays is still discounting Ireland self-drive breaks for departures up to the end of this month. Prices start at £99 per person, based on four sharing, for 14 nights in County Waterford with ferry crossing, departing before September 22.
* superbreak makes malmaison agent offer
Superbreak Mini Holidays is offering agents the chance to stay a Friday or Saturday night at a Malmaison hotel for £5 if they book a total of 10 rooms across the range of Malmaison properties in its Superbreak or The Luxury Hotel Collection brochures. It is valid for bookings made by December 23.
* cosmos adds dublin break for 2001
Cosmos has added a five-day Dublin city break to its new Tourama brochure for 2001. Prices start at £245 for a 19th century four-diamond hotel on the outskirts of Dublin, or a three-diamond property, near the Temple Bar area.
