Thistle upgrades Horley property

THISTLE Hotels is spending £3.5 million upgrading its Thistle Gatwick property in Horley.

As part of the investment, 26 bedrooms have already been added, bringing the hotel’s total number to 104.

Of the existing rooms, 46 will be upgraded by the end of the year and the rest will be redeveloped next year.

The bedrooms are being built to the new Thistle standard, which includes full air conditioning, a satellite television, fax and modem points, ironing centre and trouser press.

All rooms will also have tea and coffee-making facilities, an en-suite bathroom with power shower and a safe large enough for a laptop.

There are also plans to renovate the hotel’s bar and restaurant as well as its meetings and conference facilities.
