The British Airways Tourism for Tomorrow Awards 2000 on October 10 will be hosted by Lord Marshall and compered by TV presenter Mary Nightingale. The event will be held at The Banqueting House, Whitehall, London.

&#42 silversea set to launch silver shadow

Deluxe cruiseline Silversea Cruises has taken delivery of Silver Shadow, its new 388-passenger vessel. The ship, the third in the fleet, has completed sea trials and is due to embark on a maiden voyage from Italy on September 15.

&#42 no smoking policy for malaysia airlines

Malaysia Airlines will introduce a non-smoking policy on all flights as from October 29. Prior to this the airline’s twice-daily service from Heathrow to Kuala Lumpur featured a smoking section. The decision was made following complaints.
