Lunn Poly incentives are the best we have ever received
In response to your reader’s letter about working conditions and incentive schemes in Lunn Poly (Travel Weekly September 4), we would like to give our views.
Firstly, it is true that Lunn Poly stop the basic commission on cancelled bookings. But do these people realise that our incentives are the best we’ve ever had? Also the amount of incentives actually paid into our salary greatly outweighs the number of cancellations.
We would like to praise Richard English, who said (TravelWeekly August 28): “Lunn Poly does not have a money tree growing in head office backyard.
“Any travel consultant who doesn’t want to be a sales person would be advised to seek employment in anon-sales job.”
The Lunn Poly staff member was also moaning about having to work for up to two hours after closing to help the manager and sometimes only getting 20 minutes break per day.
Why don’t these staff talk to their manager? How can working conditions improve if head office don’t know who these staff are?
We would like to close by saying that at the end of the day, Lunn Poly is not always perfect and don’t always please staff 100% of the time – but can any other agent do better?
Ateam of happy Lunn Poly staff
