Radisson to run world cruise in 2002

RADISSON Seven Seas Cruises has announced plans to operate its first ever world cruise in 2002.

The voyage will begin in Los Angeles on January 20 and end there on May 15, calling in Sydney, Hong Kong, Nice and Fort Lauderdale along the way.

The itinerary will be carried out by the 490-passenger Seven Seas Navigator, which was launched last autumn.

Prices have not yet been published.

Radisson marketing manager Jo Moran said: “Our passengers have been asking us to do a world cruise but up until now, we haven’t had a ship that was able to do it.

“We didn’t want to do a world cruise on Navigator straight away because we wanted to make sure everything was running smoothly but this is the perfect time.”

The cruiseline has just published its second South America programme.

This will include a 58-night circumnavigation of the continent by Seven Seas Navigator, calling at ports including Valparaiso, Port Stanley, Rio de Janeiro and Devil’s Island.

The cruise out of Fort Lauderdale kicks off on February 2 and ends on April 1.

Prices lead in at £11,645 per person for the whole trip.
