World Travel Market’s regular Incentive, Conference and Business Travel Day will take place on the second day of the event, Tuesday, November 14.
Highlights of the day include four seminars on key industry topics based around the theme of the 2000 exhibition – e-travel – and a networking lunch, free to seminar attendees.
Speakers will include representatives fromWTM’s four partner associations – Meeting Professionals International, Incentive Travel and Meetings Association, Society of Incentive Travel Executives and Meetings Industry Association.
Subjects on the agenda include e-mail, the future of the conference market, leadership and how to exploit new media.
The seminars each last for 45 minutes and are specifically aimed at business and incentive travel, corporate buyers, conference and meeting planners and WTM exhibitors.
Exhibition director Fiona Jeffery said: “The importance of the conference and incentive sector within the global travel arena has long been recognised. It is a sector that continues to grow which is why it plays such an important part at WTM.
“With over 5,000 exhibiting companies from over 160 countries, WTM is the ideal forum to discover what’s new in the international conference, meetings and incentive travel market.”
Tickets for each seminar, which run from 10am to 4.30pm, cost £34. This includes admission to the networking lunch which takes place in the Chelsea Room.
The lunch was introduced for the first time last year and organisers decided to repeat the event following positive feedback from delegates.
Jeffery added:”The lunch gives delegates a valuable opportunity to meet with representatives of our partner associations, to seek advice, share knowledge and increase business.”
