Cuts campaign is real reason for BA’s delay
I read your article (Travel Weekly September 18) about BA delaying the introduction of its new payment scheme.
And if ABTA really believes 70% of its members will be better off under the scheme it should make the information public via these pages. If not, it should admit defeat.
The real reason for the delay is the gathering pace of the campaign against commission cuts.
The number of people who realise that they’ll be worse off when commission payments are scrapped is rising, the real reason why BA is backing off.
What started off as a small outcry against commission cuts will turn into a torrent.
