Top agents to sample Royal Caribbean’s newest vessel
ROYAL Caribbean International’s newest ship, Explorer, is in Southampton this month to provide two two-day cruises for travel agents.
Each of the cruises, on October 6-8 and October 8-10, will have 3,000 agents on board, including multiples and the cruiseline’s top-performing independents.
The ship then departs the UK for New York with only crew on board to give the staff time for training.
Explorer will be named in New York on October 21 and offer a two-night cruise from the US capital for US agents before sailing its maiden Eastern Caribbean itinerary from Miami on October 28.
The Eastern Caribbean cruise – visiting Haiti St Juan, St Thomas and Nassau, with two days at sea – will run through the winter with departures every Saturday. The lead-in price is £959 per person including flights.
The ship will have the same on-board features as sister ship Voyager, including an ice-skating rink and Internet centre.
