Travelselect relaunch eyes business sales
FORMER leisure agent Travelselect has relaunched with a new emphasis on the business traveller.
Travelselect.com has been enhanced and given a new corporate identity this week. The company now offers booking on-line via the Internet and off-line via a business travel centre manned by experienced travel consultants.
The Web site offers three new booking services – multi-leg journeys, complex itineraries and searches by time and not just price.
Travelselect.com sales and marketing director Tim Dewey said: “There seemed to be an enormous gap for the business consumer on-line.
“We still won’t require membership but we have a membership section where individual members and corporates can sign up.”
He added that travel policies could be implemented which would be accessed by a company password and could be set up to stop corporates booking outside the policy, or to e-mail a nominated travel manager if someone requests an itinerary outside the policy.
Business clients with more than £25,000 of travel business annually who do not have time to book on-line can also deal direct with a sales person.
