ABTA has launched a hard-hitting campaign to warn the public
of the potential dangers of making travel arrangements with unregulated
Internet companies.
The campaign, developed with advertising agency SWK, will
see posters going up in major towns and cities and on the London Underground.
ABTA hopes people with Internet access will use its Web
site, www.abta.com, as a first point of reference
before making a booking. The site features companies that are exclusively ABTA
members.
Stephen Bath, ABTA president, said: “It is an opportunity to
remind holidaymakers about the value and importance of looking for an ABTA
member.”
