British
Airways has announced that all of its Travel Shops are to get a makeover
following the refurbishment of its flagship store on Regent Street in London.
A
total of £250,000 has been spent on refurbishing the outlet. It now features an
area called The Regent lounge where Silver, Gold and Platinum cardholders can
book flights and holidays in comfort with dedicated staff on hand.
The
shop, which sells flights on all major airlines and holidays from over 60
operators, also features a new Internet kiosk where customers can book directly
via the Web site www.batravelshops.com.
A
BA Travel Shops spokeswoman said the remaining 22 stores are in line for a
re-fit.
“The
refurbishment plan will give them all a new look and will include a Regent
Lounge as well as Internet kiosks. It should be completed by the end of the
financial year in March,” she said. She was unable to say how much is being
spent on the refurbishment.
