RECENT violence in Israel has forced Holy Land specialists
to cancel bookings to the destination.
Pullman Holidays had been fully booked for the next few
weeks, but is now offering refunds on travel to Israel between now and October
22, or an alternative holiday.
Customers are being advised, however, that Tel Aviv and
Eilat are unaffected by the violence.
Managing director Simon Blutstein said he had made the
decision on the advice of the Foreign Office, which recommended tourists stay
away from certain areas.
Peltours is offering refunds to holidaymakers until October
13.
Managing director Darren Panto said: “We will just have to
wait and see but we are monitoring the situation very closely and will not put
customers at risk.”
However, Longwood managing director Rafi Caplin, who is
currently holidaying in Israel, was more upbeat. He said it was “business as
usual”.
